Basecamp

Gana River Outfitters Ltd is a family owned
and operated business that specializes in quality
service and down home hospitality. We have a
friendly and experienced staff that work hard to
make sure your hunt is both successful and
enjoyable. Our base camp is located on
beautiful Palmer Lake about 100 miles west of
Norman Wells in Canada's Northwest
Territories. Our area encompasses about 6000
square miles of unspoiled wilderness in the
spectacular Mackenzie Mountains.

We have a very well equipped and comfortable
base camp complete with a hydro electric
generator, a walk in cooler, deep freezers, hot
showers and a modern kitchen where the coffee
is always on. We encourage our clients to bring
along a family member and share with them the
experience of this last true wilderness.

We offer both horseback and backpack hunts
for Dall Sheep, Mountain Caribou,
Alaska/Yukon Moose, Wolf and Wolverine.
Our hunts begin in mid July and end in late
September.
