| The 2005 season saw some changes at Gana River with the retirement of Bill and Carol McKenzie. Long time partner and guide Harold Grinde took over management of the area. Although we missed Bill and Carol Mackenzie around camp, our keen and talented crew pitched in to make the season both enjoyable and productive. We were able to take 27 dall rams for 28 clients. The average age of the rams was ten years and the average length was 37 inches. Bases averaged 13.5 inches. Eleven of our sheep hunters were successful in adding a caribou to their hunt. We took a total of 21 caribou with an average gross B&C score of 375. Four of five moose hunters were able to take home bulls averaging 60 inches. |
